Remembering Shahzada and Suleman Dawood

The University of Buckingham wishes to express its deepest condolences to the family of Shahzada Dawood who, together with his son Suleman, were among the five people lost on the Titan submersible.

Shahzada, 48, graduated with an LLB from the university in 1998. He was the vice-chairman of Engro Corporation, which makes fertilisers, food and energy, as well as the Dawood Hercules Corporation, which makes chemicals.

Prof James Tooley, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Buckingham, said: “At the University, we are deeply saddened to hear the tragic news of our alumnus, Shahzada, and his son. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family members, that they might be comforted at this extraordinarily difficult time.”
