Professor Deba Bardhan-Correia Shortlisted as Finalist in Women Leaders Awards 2024

We are delighted to share that Professor Deba Bardhan-Correia, Dean of Faculty of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences at The University of Buckingham has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Women Leaders Awards 2024. Deba has been shortlisted in the category for Skills, Education and Training.
The annual awards recognise the achievements of remarkable women living and working within Milton Keynes. The ceremony and gala dinner are due to be held on 18 June at the Doubletree by Hilton. Women Leaders UK is a registered charity established to recognise women, strengthen leadership and support gender equality and diversity.
About Deba
Deba completed her BSC Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Bangalore, India. Deba went on to achieve a MSc Service Management with Distinction at The University of Buckingham in 2000, before joining the School of Business as a full-time lecturer in 2002. Deba moved on to then complete her PhD from Cranfield School of Management in 2015. Deba has delivered lectures for both undergraduate and postgraduate business modules.
Deba has been shortlisted for the Women Leaders Awards 2024 in recognition of her passion for providing a supportive environment for students to excel, having been involved in several mentoring and equality, diversion and inclusion initiatives. With expertise in services marketing and cross-cultural management, Deba upholds significant roles in programme and curriculum design, development and management in the faculty of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences. Recently, she was part of the judging panel at the Midlands Racial Equality in Medicine conference.
