Grants and awards

Dr Ihsan Lami has been awarded an STSM (Short Term Scientific Mission) Award from the European COST IC1301 Action for two of his DPhil students (Mr AlbuRghaif and Mr AlAbodi) to visit the University of Gent’s Department of Information Systems for 2 weeks. During this visit, the students will be using RF testbeds available in Professor Rogier’s lab to evaluate their multi-signal GNSS bandpass sampling receiver’s algorithms that have already been simulated using MATLAB.

Dr Lami has won a training grant for two of his students (Mr Eze and Miss Hasnain) to attend a week-long training course on Wireless Power Transmission for Space Applications hosted by the University of Aveiro , 23–26 June 2014, Aveiro, Portugal.
