BUCSIS Hostile States and Covert Action Conference

Yet another full house for the BUCSIS-hosted IPRC events witnessed a series of excellent presentations by leading experts in covert action and foreign intelligence agencies.

The topics included an overview of covert action, state-sponsored assassination, Chinese influence operations, HUMINT recruitment and disinformation.

The event organiser, Dr Ian Stanier stated:

“The recent arrests under the National Security Act 2023 and the revelations of hostile state activity in the UK and the West, especially by China, Iran and Russia, underscores the need for a raised level of awareness of this malign hostile State activity.”

Many topics discussed are covered by BUCSIS’s online Postgraduate Certificate and Master’s by Research in Covert Action, HUMINT and Psychology of Intelligence Elicitation.
