School of Computing welcomes 11th cohort for the MSc Applied Data Science (Degree Apprenticeship)

The School of Computing welcomed its 11th cohort of learners on the Level 7 “Digital and Technology Solutions Specialist” apprenticeship – MSc Applied Data Science (Degree Apprenticeship).
The learners attended the Leadership and Innovation in Data Science (LIDS) workshop on Friday, 18 October at The University of Buckingham. They were joined by full-time students on the MSc Applied Data Science programme.
The LIDS workshop included the following sessions:
- Business Process Evolution by Dr Soudabeh Bolourian
- Risk Management by Professor Harin Sellahewa
- Ethical AI and Data Science by Olasupo Oyedepo
- Inclusive Leadership by Annabelle Chester
Attendees were welcomed by Dr Maysson Ibrahim (Programme Director) and Professor Harin Sellahewa (Dean). The in-person session was an opportunity for new learners to meet academics, administrators, the learning development coach, and our Boston Dynamics Spot. Several learners experienced flying on our Birdly machine.
Our new learners are from Allianz, bp, Bosch (ETAS), Intel, London Borough of Lambeth, Network Rail and University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust.
