Undertaking my undergraduate degree at Buckingham was certainly one of the best decisions I made. The accelerated two-year track combined focused learning with great networking opportunities. It was a challenging but much rewarding experience.
Due to the international exposure at Buckingham, I was able to move on an undertake an LLM in Washington DC as a Fulbright Scholar and work with international NGO’s.
More so, having refined my linguistic skills during my time at Buckingham, I became the first woman from my country, Luxembourg, to work as a Judicial Assistant to Judge Turkovic at the European Court of Human Rights.
Upon returning to London, I completed my Bar Course and commenced work at a women’s rights NGO, LBWP. I advised survivors of violence daily, helped implement new strategies at local government level and made recommendations on the Domestic Violence Bill to the Joint Committee in Parliament. This now constitutes the Domestic Abuse Act of 2021.
The confidence I acquired at Buckingham has put me on track to a successful career in law as a barrister.
I am now a tenant at Great James Street Chambers in London and have founded my own company, Her Bar to promote and support women at the Bar.
