Alex Katznelson (LLB 2015)
Prior to attending The University of Buckingham, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in Toronto, Canada, specializing in Public Administration and Justice. Subsequently, from 2013 to 2015, I attended The University of Buckingham where I studied law. The University of Buckingham offered small lectures and intimate tutorial classes, in which I was encouraged to discuss course material and trained to conduct legal analysis.
Upon completing my LLB at The University of Buckingham, I returned to Canada where I obtained a Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation (“NCA”). Based on my legal education obtained at The University of Buckingham, I was required to complete five equivalency exams (the minimum number of exams – at the time I was qualifying) to satisfy the requirements for the Certificate of Qualification. The education and legal training that I received at The University of Buckingham equipped me with the skills that I required successfully to complete the equivalency exams and the Law Society of Ontario lawyer licensing examinations (the Barrister and Solicitor exams).
While completing the equivalency exams, I worked in-house, as a Legal Assistant for Correct Group of Companies, a developer located in Brampton, Canada. I primarily focused on real estate law and commercial litigation. Completing the accelerated LLB at The University of Buckingham prepared me to manage a busy schedule and competing priorities.
In 2017 I took a position as an Articling Student at Minden Gross LLP, a full-service business law firm located in Toronto, Canada. As an Articling Student, I worked in the litigation department, corporate department and real estate department. Currently, I am an Associate in the Corporate Department of Minden Gross LLP.
