Paul Trayhurn has taken on the role of Editor-in -Chief of the Journal of Nutritional Science – the Nutrition Society’s Open Access journal.
September 2017
Paul Trayhurn was an invited speaker at the 39th ESPEN Congress on “Clinical Nutrition & Metabolism”, held in The Hague, Netherlands, where he spoke on “Tissue Hypoxia and Energy Metabolism”, and in October he gave an invited talk on “Hypoxia and Adipose Tissue Dysfunction in Obesity” at the 21st IUNS International Congress of Nutrition in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At the Buenos Aires Congress he also attended a meeting of the Scientific Committee (of which he is a member) organising the next FENS European Congress of Nutrition which will be held in Dublin in 2019; he also attended the IUNS General Assembly as the proxy delegate for the Norwegian Nutrition Society.

Paul Trayhurn was an invited speaker at the Janssen-Cilag Meeting on “Clinical Conundrums in Diabetes”, held at the Royal College of Physicians, London, where he gave a talk on “Brown, Beige and White Fat: Understanding their Significance in Type 2 Diabetes”.

Malgosia Kepczynska completed her PhD and successfully passed her PhD viva.
