Alumni webinar: Thinking Outside the Box – Neurodiversity Strategies

Please join us for this exciting taster session of the first Dyslexia and Neurodiversity Day (27 September) at Buckingham!

This upcoming instalment in our Alumni Webinar series will be hosted by Dyslexia Hub Founder Sarah Myhill and Dr Patricia Covarrubia, who will be presenting on: ‘Thinking Outside the Box – Neurodiversity Strategies‘.

Sarah Myhill, who is a Specialist Dyslexia Tutor, Author and Lecturer and her colleague Dr Patricia Covarrubia, IP Reader in Law in the Law School, have prepared an eye-opening day into the world of teaching dyslexic and neurodiverse students in Higher Education (HE), Further Education (FE) and Post-16.

Sarah and Patricia will launch the Dyslexia Hub, the first of its kind in the UK, based at Buckingham. The aim is to ‘Educate the Educators’ in Post-16 Education where awareness and support are thinly spread, and so to make the academic journey of a neurodiverse student more engaging and successful.

This event is not just for educators, but for anyone who interacts with or supports individuals with learning differences. Whether you’re a parent, a friend, a manager, or even someone who personally experiences these challenges, this event is for you. By attending, you’ll gain valuable insights into the world of dyslexia and neurodiversity, and learn how to better support those around you. Together, we can create a more inclusive and understanding environment for everyone. So, come and join us if you’re interested in making a difference in the lives of neurodiverse individuals.”

The formal presentation will last approximately 30 minutes and will be followed by a Q&A session. We look forward to welcoming you and very much hope you will find this session stimulating!
