As part of our Alumni Webinar series, Professor Sabah Jassim and Professor Hongbo Du will be talking on ‘The Curiosity of Data Shapes’.
They will be sharing their expertise and experience working in the development of innovative machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). Their work is based on the emerging paradigm in data analysis, known as Topological Data Analysis (TDA), which stipulate that Data have Shapes determined by data similarity. At Buckingham, they pioneered the landmark-based TDA approach for the analysis of image datasets suitable for detecting subtle and not-so-visible distortions/changes.
They will also discuss the new Centre for Topological Machine Learning and Innovations (and how you can help to be part of it!), followed by a Q&A session.
