Programme Director for the Professional Doctorate in Operational Excellence
Prof Sanjay Bhasin is an accredited senior Operational Excellence practitioner depicting high-ranking management positions within the industrial, education and public sectors. As a master Black-belt in LSS, he recently held the role of “Head of Continuous Improvement” for the Probation Service across England and Wales predominantly incorporated steering the organisation towards a higher level of C.I maturity. He obtained his PhD in Lean from Aston University. He is the author of various articles published in reputable international journals alongside two books and is a regular key-note speaker at international conferences. His main responsibilities at Buckingham centre on Prog Director of the Professional Doctorate in Operational Excellence and soon to be launched a MSc in Operational Excellence.
He is an Editorial Board Member for the:
- “Journal of Applied Continuous Improvement” and
- “American Journal of Operations Management and Information Systems.”
He is a fellow of the:
- “Institute of Continuous Improvement in the Public Sector,”
- “International Lean Six-Sigma Institute” and the
- “Chartered Quality Institute.”
Recognition includes most commended award for his research on “culture” in the “International Journal of Lean Six Sigma” and winning national awards for his research by the Institute of CI Public Sector. Besides being a peer reviewer of seven international journals; he retains his links between academia and the practitioner environment through cutting-edge research. His current work includes exploring leadership needed for operational excellence in the Public Sector and cultural diagnostics mechanisms for organisations.
