Mr Trevor Powis

I have recently joined the University of Buckingham as the Director of Digital Transformation.

My role is to prepare the University’s technology to accept new software from Technology1 for Finance, HR, and Payroll, which is planned to be implemented later this year.

This will require working from the foundations of technology, stabilising the current infrastructure, moving up through different technology levels, and ultimately, the user interfaces. Along with implementing some quick wins to ease the current technology issues, the aim is to ensure that the University is able to start the design and build of the SiTS replacement system and move to the Technology1 solution, currently planned for Q3 2026.

During my first few weeks at the University, I have been made very welcome and have enjoyed meeting the team. There does seem to be a positive attitude towards the coming technology change.

I come from a structured background of directing large-scale ERP implications for a variety of blue-chip commercial clients over the past 20 years, and I am looking forward to bringing that model of structured change to the University.
