David Cole FCA joined the University when appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in April 2022, including leadership oversight of the University’s Corporate Services functions. After gaining his BSc in Economics and Finance from Cardiff University, he qualified as a Chartered Accountant before 30 years’ experience in increasingly senior finance leadership roles in commercial businesses in numerous businesses in retail, market research, hospitality, professional services and logistics. David has a record of delivering successful change and transformation across significant multinational businesses and has expertise in driving operational and financial performance improvement.
David is focussed to improve customer satisfaction to the benefit of those who choose to study at the University through improved performance and resilience. His extensive experience of working in many countries across different continents and cultures compliments the diversity of the University’s stakeholders.
