Karl completed his PhD at Brunel University (visual cognitive neuroscience), where he explored the role of alpha frequency oscillatory activity in neuronal dynamics. He previously taught at Royal Holloway University.
Now, he teaches Cognitive Neuroscience, Research Methods, and Statistics modules at The University of Buckingham. His main research interests are exploring the synchronous oscillatory activity of groups of neurons in information processing and how alpha-frequency oscillatory activity controls the flow of information from both the external world and from higher cognitive areas.
