Dr Gurcharan SinghBSc (Malaya), MSc (Putra Malaysia), PhD (Malaya), ACCA

Dr Gurcharan Singh is a Reader in Finance and Programme Director for the MSc in Accounting & Finance, the MSc in Finance and Investment and the MSc in Financial Service Management. He joined Buckingham in January 2011 from the University of Malaya, where he was Senior Lecturer in the Department of Financial Accounting and Audit for five years and in a number of related Industries.

Gurcharan is an active researcher who received a number of research grants in Malaysia. His areas of expertise are in finance (portfolio management, investment, corporate finance) and operational research (non-parametric data, wavelet decomposition). He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Accounting and Finance and was a reviewer for the Asian Journal of Business and Accounting.

Students who wish to undertake a PhD in the area of social, environmental and sustainability accounting and finance are advised to send me their CV and research proposal. Your proposal should outline the main research question, significance of the research, its implications and any potential datasets.
