Mrs Anthea Bailey
Anthea is an experienced Finance & Operations Administrator whose early career focused on IT Outsourcing and Service Delivery, where she supported global brand customers across the Food industry.
Returning from a career break to raise a family, Anthea became involved in Education, initially within the Early Years Sector, where she represented Private, Voluntary and Independent providers at a County level, providing policy guidance and insight to the County Education Directors around the impact of Early Years and Special Educational Needs (SEN) funding.
Anthea then moved into Primary and Secondary education, working within a Multi Academy Trust to provide regional financial and operational support to schools within Northamptonshire. During her time at the Trust she was involved in improving financial process and operational structures to allow the schools to operate more efficiently and therefore ensure public funding was being appropriately channelled directly to pupils learning. With a remit covering Finance, Estates, HR, Administration and Operations this role gave Anthea the ideal grounding to prepare her for her current role at The University of Buckingham.
Anthea joined the Medical School in June 2018 as Executive Officer, a role which evolved into that of Faculty Registrar for the Faculty of Medicine & Health Science in 2021 when the Schools of Medicine and Health Sciences were brought together. During her time at Buckingham, Anthea has been proud to witness the GMC accreditation of the Medical School and the graduation of the first cohort of Doctors in 2019, along with all the subsequent graduating Doctors, the majority of whom move straight in to the NHS Foundation Programme to support the NHS workforce and our local communities.
