Nitesh Magdani has over 25 years’ experience as a Chartered Architect with significant management experience in the construction industry. As well as designing award winning sustainable buildings, Nitesh has also held strategic positions on the Board of the Supply Chain Sustainability School; and as Group Director of Royal BAM Group (an international construction company with a turnover of 8 billion euros – based in The Netherlands).

As a member of the Board of the Supply Chain Sustainability School (2015-2020), Nitesh was active in shaping the direction of the School and ensuring that it delivered on its strategic priorities. This included challenged and updating the School’s vision, mission and strategy, whilst ensuring that the school stayed true to the original ethos and delivered a measurable impact to its stakeholders.

Nitesh’s responsibility at BAM (2011-2020), was to set the sustainability strategy, and to lead its transformation throughout the business. This included accountability to the Executive Committee for non-financial reporting and transparency, also leading the sustainability agenda for key clients (i.e., Google’s London HQ development).

Nitesh founded Net Positive Solutions in 2020 and continues working for public and private sector clients, delivering strategic advice, workshops and developing ESG strategies, together with roadmaps, targets and KPI’s. In addition to this, Nitesh also leads building level sustainability strategies, focusing on net zero and circular economy in particular.

Nitesh has worked within a university environment since 2003, tutoring at the University of Nottingham (School of Architecture & Engineering) as a weekly design tutor. Since 2022, Nitesh tutors at the University of Cambridge’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) to help future leaders and senior leaders within a variety of organisations equip themselves with the right knowledge and tools to make a difference.
