Mr Chris Hollis

Chris Hollis was in the second intake of students to the, then, University College at Buckingham from where he graduated with a licence in Politics, Economics and Law.

He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) before working in the oil industry for 15 years in various financial posts in London, Paris (2 years as a contract negotiator), Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (5 years as Finance Director of an Exploration subsidiary) and finally in New York (5 years in investor relations). He then moved into the luxury goods sector based in Paris and worked closely with the management team of LVMH between 2000 and 2023 as Head of Financial Communications.

Chris was a board member of the National Investor Relations Institute’s New York chapter between 1996 and 2000 and served 4 years as President of the CLIFF, the French association of financial communications professionals, between 2014 and 2018 becoming an honorary President on his retirement.

Chris is a board member of Textainer, a NYSE listed (TGH) container leasing company and serves on their Governance and Compensation committees.

As a trustee, he hopes to bring his experience to ensure the University continues to differentiate itself.
